Happy Hour Specials:
Drinks: Specialty cocktails $10: Crimson Rye, Manhattan, Rum Punch, Cucumber Gimlet, Whiskey Clover, Berries & Bubbles (cocktails normally range from $12 – $15).
Food: $10 small plates: baked oysters bingo, fish tacos, prime sliders, crab cake sliders, sweet & spicy shrimp, lamb lollipops (not offered on regular menu). Chef’s choice sushi roll, $10 (sushi normally ranges between $17 and $22). $1 oysters are offered during Friday Happy Hour only.
You absolutely must try the Berries & Bubbles, which is both a cocktail and an experience. The drink itself, made with Grand Marnier-soaked berries, house made sour, Citrus Vodka, and brut champagne is fruity and just a little sweet, but the dry ice makes it bubble and keeps it extra cold to the last drop. For food, I recommend trying the Chef’s Choice Sushi Roll (as long as you’re a little adventurous). Our roll consisted of tempura veggies, pineapple, cucumber, and asparagus in a soy wrap and was fun and delicious!
Our Overall Rating: 4.2/5
Happy Hour is just in the bar area, but it’s spacious enough not to feel cramped. The back wall is made up entirely of bottles of wine, and the low lighting and background jazz music add an extra touch of luxury to what would otherwise be a typical steakhouse bar area. Where Ocean Prime really shines is in its specialty cocktails, which are each expertly crafted and unique, with the Berries & Bubbles cocktail (which actually bubbles) really setting it apart from the competition.
