Happy Hour in Havana… in DC:
From the moment you walk in, you’ll feel like you’re at a Happy Hour in Havana! And every hour of every day is Happy Hour here, with all of these juicy cocktails on offer for only $8 ALL.THE.TIME. The Calle Oche Cocktail menu features the classic drinks you’d expect like Mojitos, Cuba Libres, Daiquiris and Piña Coladas, but also has a few other snazzed up Cuban treats, like the Cascara Old Fashioned and the La Negra Tiene Tumbao, a classic piña colada with a fernet float.
A Lotta Piña Coladas:
Colada Shop serves its name sake well. They’re serving up top-notch, classic Pina Coladas for just $8 every day. And… they’ve stepped up their pineapple coconut game for their one year anniversary. Enter the Piña Colada festival! The festival menu features specials such as piña colada popsicles made with dark Barcardi rum and a Piña Colada summer sangria made with coconut water and wine. Other specials include a Pina Colada Fresca and a Galangal Colada, a ginger-infused version of the Piña Colada, which gives it a spicy twist.
Comfy – Cozy – Cuba:
A welcome respite off the busy 14th street corridor, Colada shop is a cozy cafe and lounge oozing classic Cuban vibes. From the salsa music to the traditional Cuban eats and drinks, to the vintage Cuban travel posters tucked behind shutters along the wall, you’ll feel like you’re right at home. If the weather is nice, you can sit out on the patio along T Street, or sit at the little bar in between the shop and the patio. Our favorite spot to Colada – the back lounge, where you could just as well be in Havana even though you’re in the middle of DC.
